I seek to explore form, scale, materiality, and the visualization of ideas while engaging in conceptual studies and spatial composition to analyze structural considerations and the integration of the design within public spaces.
Floating Reflections: A Sculptural Tribute to Place & Nature
Sculpture | Design Concept | Materials | Model
Site: Lake Draper Trail, Oklahoma City - OK
Concept:
Designed as an iconic landmark rooted in the surrounding landscape, this concept transforms a familiar object—the fishing float—into an oversized sculptural statement. The installation welcomes visitors with its bold yet elegant presence, celebrating the lake’s essence through form, materiality, and spatial interaction.
Durable materials such as concrete and glass mosaic tile ensure longevity while reinforcing the connection between water and human experience. Encircled by a carefully designed ripple-like pattern in the landscape, the piece creates an evocative illusion of movement—an interplay between stillness and motion, nature and art.
This composition fosters contemplation, strengthening the connection between people and their surroundings - inviting visitors to engage with the space in a more immersive way.
Proteios: A Dynamic Intersection of Form & Function
Outdoor Bench | Design Concept | Materials | Model
Site: Texas Tech University - Athletic Dining Facility
Concept:
Rooted in the linguistic origins of "protein" and derived from the Greek word for “First Place,” Proteios embodies athletes' strength, energy, and movement. Inspired by the muscle fibers of student-athletes, this sculptural seating concept represents both the physical endurance and nutritional discipline essential to peak performance.
Designed as an energizing gathering space, Proteios fuses dynamic form with function, creating a visual and tactile connection between the athletes, the facility’s purpose, and Texas Tech’s identity. The bold use of red—a defining school color—symbolizes power, vitality, and passion while also serving as a subconscious nod to health and nutrition.
